Today we all agreed to have a team win. So we designated one person to win. So the first race we picked a guy Jeff to win. On the final lap, the other team mate who was suppose to take the first pull wrecked and I ended up on the other side of the peleton. So I saw Jeff going up the other side and I went to the front and crossed over to pick him up. I then picked up the pace and strung out the field single file into through the last turn. My hr went up to 195 (highest ever seen it) and then I was done. Jeff pulled off but had put in such a big effort to get on my wheel that he could not finish the sprint in first and ended 4. I rolled in 8th because of another wreck.

Then it was my turn on the next race to try for the win. We had another team mate Jason who was going to pull first then Jeff then me. On the final lap we moved to the front in line, Jason, Jeff then me. With 4 corners to go (a seven corner course) Jason picked up the pace and got the peleton single file. All the way up the slight grade, Jeff was telling him more, keep going, he used every bit of energy. Then Jeff took over and up’d the pace even higher. I could hear his gears clicking up, up, up. I am thinking we are flying. We turn the last corner in one, two position and are completely single file. I told him go, go, Then when I felt him slowing, I jumped and threw down 15 pedal strokes as hard as I could. It felt like the finish line was never going to get to me. I stayed sprinting and looked out of the corner of my eye and saw I had a 15 yard gap on the next guy and rolled through in 1st !!!

It was awesome. If we hadnt had a plan, Jeff and I would have probably both finished in the top ten-fifteen, but we got a first. Never had any idea how a team could control the outcome of a race. Of course I would not have been able to pull or sprint without the fitness I got from your coaching. Thanks A Million!
